Hervé has more than 38 years of professional experience in global environments and had top management responsibilities in the “3 lines of Defense”, in internal audit, compliance and business. In all these functions, Hervé developed an in-depth knowledge of operational risk assessment, audit techniques and global people management in control functions, but also a solid business perspective. Transformation management and strategic thinking are among his strengths.
Hervé served as Allianz Group Chief Audit Executive (CAE) for more than 12 years, managing up to 900 audit professionals in more than 40 countries. He also led the Compliance function as the Group Chief Compliance Officer (CCO), covering 800 compliance officers across the globe.
Hervé accumulated significant business experience as member for 5 years of the Allianz France Board of Management (the 3rd largest Allianz entity). He founded and managed as co-CEO Allianz Banque Hervé for 6 years. He also gained in-depth experience in corporate governance, serving in Supervisory Boards of several companies, and chairing the Board of Directors of Allianz Africa.
Hervé was also a member of the ESG Advisory Board of Allianz Group for two years, where he brought a new perspective on non-financial and reputational risks, and learned how a large financial institution can have a positive impact on our planet.
Diversity is important to Hervé: during his time at Allianz France, he greatly increased the proportion of women in management positions and spent three years advocating for the LGBT community at Allianz. Hervé is also passionate about education and has been a member of the Advisory Board of IESEG, one of the best French business schools, for more than 8 years.
Hervé graduated from HEC, the French top business school. A French national, he speaks English, Spanish, and has strong notions of German. He has personal roots and lived in France, Germany, Peru, the UK, Spain and Hong Kong.
